KATANORA ("we," "us," or "our") provides an automated service that monitors YouTube channels, generates short-form video clips, and uploads them to connected YouTube accounts. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.

Google API Services — Limited Use Disclosure: KATANORA's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

1. Information We Collect

When you connect your YouTube account to KATANORA, we collect and store the following:

YouTube OAuth credentials — an access token and refresh token that authorize KATANORA to upload videos to your YouTube channel on your behalf.
YouTube channel information — your channel ID and channel name, used to route uploads to the correct channel.
Source channel preferences — the YouTube channels you select for KATANORA to monitor for new uploads.

We do not collect passwords, payment information, or personal identifiers beyond what is described above.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect exclusively to operate the KATANORA service:

Authenticating with the YouTube Data API to upload clips to your connected channel.
Monitoring selected YouTube channels for new long-form video uploads.
Identifying and generating short-form video clips from detected episodes.
Uploading generated clips, with titles, descriptions, and captions, to your YouTube Shorts channel.

We do not use your YouTube account data for advertising, analytics, or any purpose unrelated to the service described above.

3. YouTube API Services

KATANORA uses the YouTube Data API v3. By using our service, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and acknowledge the Google Privacy Policy.

You can review and revoke KATANORA's access to your Google account at any time by visiting Google Account Permissions.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. We do not transfer information received from Google APIs to any third party except as necessary to operate the service (e.g., cloud infrastructure providers) under confidentiality obligations.

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your YouTube OAuth credentials and channel preferences only while your account is active. If you disconnect your YouTube account or request account deletion, we will delete your stored credentials and preferences within 30 days.

6. Data Security

We store OAuth tokens using environment-level encryption and do not expose them in logs, source code, or client-facing interfaces. Access is restricted to the service operations described in this policy.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Revoke KATANORA's access to your Google account at any time via Google Account Permissions.
Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Request deletion of your data at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

KATANORA is not directed at individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
